They played at Notre Dame on 10/11/2001. They brought firefighters down from NYC. It was amazing. Rumor is that they offered to do the “all current staff, faculty, and students of ND, SMC, and HC free” thing if they got to play the Stadium. They were denied. The concert was $90 and in the JACC.Where the fuck were you two fucking years ago when I was there and hating every minute of it.
Ughh, they are the fucking Fordham of bands, that’s why. Not really edgy, not too hard to get into, just prestigious enough, and oh yeah, Irish Catholic.
The concert was free, but Fordham officials warned the public ahead of the time that admission was limited to students and faculty members with current Fordham identification. Still, there was no lack of people around the perimeter who had come hoping to infiltrate the campus. Few were that lucky, with a heavy police presence and a tall, spiked fence ringing almost the entire campus.
Fordham does a great job of keeping the Bronx community out 24/7, they’re not going to break from that great tradition of diversity and inclusion just for U2. Wankers.
